Kiln Lumber Drying
We offer professional kiln drying, heat treating, pine pitch setting, and sanitizing of lumber using our IDRY Vacuum Kiln. This process produces high-quality, ready-to-use lumber in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.
- Most 4/4 hardwood dries from green to ready in about 1 week
- Most 8/4 hardwood dries in about 2 weeks
- Many softwoods require less drying time
Flat-Rate Kiln Drying (Boards up to 2” thick)
- Up to 1 ¼” thickness → $1.05 / board foot
- 1 ½” to 2” thickness → $2.10 / board foot
Thicker Lumber (Over 2”)
- $0.15 / board foot per day in kiln
- 500+ board feet → $0.12 / board foot per day
- 1000+ board feet → $0.10 / board foot per day
Important Notes
- The IDRY Vacuum Kiln produces excellent results, but all wood is susceptible to natural movement such as warping, cracking, splitting, and twisting during the drying process. The lumber owner accepts this risk.
- Our standard target is 8–10% moisture content, measured with a Delmhorst moisture meter at the time lumber is removed from the kiln.
- A specific moisture content target can be requested.

Extra long sawmill service
Long-Length Lumber Milling
With our bed extension on the Wood-Mizer sawmill, we are able to mill logs up to 26 feet in length. While this allows us to produce specialty beams and boards, there are added costs due to:
- Increased log waste
- Reduced production efficiency
- The need for specific, large-diameter trees
- Additional equipment required for handling heavy materials
Because of this, there is a board foot (BF) price increase for lumber over 14 feet in length:
- 14’ and longer: +$0.25 per BF
- 16’ and longer: +$0.50 per BF
- 18’ and longer: +$0.75 per BF
- 20’ and longer: +$1.00 per BF
- 22’ and longer: +$1.25 per BF
- 24’ and longer: +$2.00 per BF
⚠️ Note: The kiln-drying limit is 16 ft. 6 in. Lumber longer than this will be sold green only.
Heavy Lumber
Boards 2x10 or larger require special handling. An additional handling fee will apply—please call or message us for a custom quote.

A supply of full length trees are on hand to fill unique customer orders with minimal delay.

Woodmizer 55 HP Yanmar diesel sawmill. Up to 36 inch wide cut. Fast accurate fully hydraulic high production sawmill, supported by dedicated log and lumber handling heavy equipment, provides production value to customers.
- Custom sawing rate $100 per hour, $150 Minimum.
- $50 Blade replacement fee for blade damage caused by metal in customer logs ( often in yard trees).
A second sawmill the Woodmizer LT 40 Super Hydraulic available for back up and when higher production rates are needed.
Running 2 sawmills, the Woodmizer LT40 Super Hydraulic with a 51 HP Caterpillar diesel sawmill. Woodmizer LT70 with a 55hp Yanmar diesel fully hydraulic saw mill. Supported by excavator, skid loaders, and other material handling machinery for increasing efficiency and hourly production. Custom sawing rates $100 per hour and $150 minimum Per mill. Blade damage rate for metal in customer logs is $50 per blade If blade is destroyed.

kiln dried firewood bundled 1’x 1’ x 16”. With easy carry handles on each bundle. Purchase by the pallet 36 bundles, or by the bundle. This firewood has been heat treated and kiln dried. kills molds and pests, easier to light. and better for high efficiency wood stoves $5 a bundle and $180 for a pallet while available. Pickup only, with delivery available for larger orders.

The vacuum kiln uses a combination of adjustable strong vacuum, heat, and relative humidity to efficiently reduce the moisture content, and condition the wood. this is very good at removing both uncapsolated, and caps plated Moisture. The end result is a superior lumber product.
By spinning a log during the sawmill blade passing down the length of the log, the log is cut into a sized round pillar that can be used in a variety of building projects. This is accomplished by using a device called the lathe mizer attached to the log deck of the sawmill.
Firewood can be heat treated a d dried in the IDry vacuum kiln. Modern efficient wood stoves often require firewood with moisture content 18% and lower. The vacuum kiln can quickly dry and sanitize firewood killing insects, mold, mildew and other unwanted pests before being carried into your house.
Slab and beam flattening service. The Woodmizer MB 200 Slab Mizer can Handel up to 5’ x 13’ And 8” thick. $50.00 hr. Also great for flattening / planing large pieces after glue ups and epoxy projects.
